Nancy Pelosi just issued an invitation to the Supreme Court to strike down the ACA. If people thought her "impeachment is off the table" comment was a preemptive surrender, check this nonsense out.
"Democrats in the Congress have long-believed in judicial review," Pelosi said during a press briefing in the Capitol. "We respect the third branch of government and the role that they play under our Constitution, and that is a role to have the opportunity to review laws passed by Congress.
"This is part of our constitutional process, and we respect it," she added.

Let's see, the gang who brought us Bush v Gore and Citizens United is going to scrap the single most important piece of domestic legislation based on a trumped up libertarian talking point, and Pelosi has already taken criticizing the 5 Republican hacks off the table.
All out of some fantasy that this is about the Constitution and the law rather than partisan and ideological opposition to the government stepping up to put us on the road to universal health care.
She's also implicitly endorsed the fallout--the "lesson" that Congress overstepped its bounds and that big government is unconstitutional and the Court was just doing its job and protecting the Constitution against power-hungry liberals.
Heaven forbid she draw attention to what will be a party line vote, that 5 Republicans in black robes will with one wave of their hands erase the only major achievement by Congress in a generation.
All in order to respect the legitimacy of the most illegitimate of the three branches, an institution that gave us Dred Scott, Korematsu and Lochner.
And the same institution that will kill any hope of universal health care in the United States in our lifetimes.
If anyone wants to know why no President will lift a finger on health care reform again--look at this meek acceptance of the Court's moral authority to repeal any legislation it doesn't like as why.
